Summary

The purpose of this role is to provide operational management of the DVSA Garretts Green reporting to the Compliance Manager on the Department of Transport (DfT) facilities management contract.
Candidates will be required to meet security checks in order to work on the client premises.
Main duties involve:
Man the front desk ensuring all security protocols are managed and adhered too. Prepare and issue visitor passes. Advise relevant staff that visitors have arrived. Ensure all visitors sign in and outEnsure all activities are carried out in accordance with statutory requirements and corporate policies including, but not limited to, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Environment & Sustainability and Employment Legislation. To embed a zero accidents culture of Health and Safety within the contract.Liaise and communicate with client business unit representatives on all areas of service delivery, performance improvement and service development.To work with all Mitie businesses and third Party suppliers to provide an integrated and seamless service delivery model to the client and its stakeholdersLiaison with the specialist function teams outside the account to ensure full capture of best practise.Support the Facilities team during evacuations.Ensure that the entrance area is clean and tidy.Visitor management at the complex, issue of building passes and ensuring the complex is secure including CCTV monitoring.Ensure that the Garretts Green complex remains H&S compliant including H&S inspections, conducting proactive checks and undertaking investigations.Manage FM issues raised by staff and visitors. Raise Work Orders with FM provider ensure faults are reported and progressed. Act as escalation point for all issues at this complex.Regular meetings with other managers at the complexUndertake risk assessments, analysing waste usage and monitoring energy efficiency.Manage email box and respond to queries and requests in a timely fashion.Manage meeting room booking system for Garretts Green.Liaise with TFM colleagues on additions and deletions of FM services for Garretts Green.Act as Incident Controller for Garretts Green. Arrange regular fire drills and training for fire wardens and marshalls.Act as First Aider for the site.Liaise with Line manager on security issuesWhat we are looking forQualifications, Experience & KnowledgeEssential:Experience of FM services for a busy office environment, Excellent people communication skills; ability to manage and develop positive relationships with both on site staff and visitors to the site. Good working knowledge of H&S related to TFM services.Ability to remain calm when under pressure
Desirable :SIA license or willingness to train as monitoring CCTV is part of the role. First Aid. IOSH managing safely or equivalent in FM, Manual Handling
