Summary
The Role:
• To support a 67-year-old lady living in supported accommodation and has several health conditions including diabetes, chronic kidney disease, hypothyroidism, reduced mobility, schizoaffective disorder and a hearing impairment to maintain her independence and well – being.
Main Duties:
• Provide companionship and emotional support with low mood and depression
• Encourage and support to access the local community
• Trips to shops, cafes and local events
• Support with wheelchair on outings outside the home
• Personal care (some support required)
• Household tasks
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
• Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
• Responsible, reliable and trustworthy
• Respectful of dignity and independence
• Good communication skills and social skills
• Punctual, reliable and flexible
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Understanding, adaptable and organised
Please note that the person undertaking this role may be requested to supply evidence of DBS clearance and/or references where appropriate.
Hours: 6 hours per week to be worked between Monday – Friday – Flexible with days and times – to be discussed
Pay: £17.95 per hour – Self - Employed
