We have an exciting opportunity for a Ranger (Play) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. If you are passionate about the environment and want to be part of a team that shares your commitment, we would love to hear from you.

About you...
You will have the practical skills and experience to carry out a range of estate maintenance and habitat management tasks, such as installing gates and stiles, fencing, strimming, mowing and contributing to woodland and heathland management. You will enjoy working as part of a supportive team and bring a positive, proactive attitude to caring for parks and open spaces. Your enthusiasm for the outdoors and commitment to maintaining natural environments will help ensure these spaces are welcoming and well-managed for the community and wildlife.

Key responsibilities...
Manage sites within the Borough for the benefit of people and wildlife
Encourage and support outdoor recreation and countryside access.
You will also provide information and organise events, walks and talks to increase participation, enjoyment and understanding
Undertake weekly inspections of our play areas using digital data collection and undertake repairs to play equipment in a timely manner
Undertake minor maintenance tasks such as strimming, cleaning and vegetation management
Prepare work specifications and oversee the works of contractors
Training will be provided to fulfil these tasks.
