Neway International are currently looking for a Social Work Assistant to join our client based with Birmingham Children’s Trust | Location: Lifford House | 36.5 hours/week | Pay Rate: PAYE £13.70/hr | Umbrella £17.65/hr

We are currently seeking a committed and capable Social Work Assistant to support a one-off project within our Area Services team. You will play a vital role in helping to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and families across Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
Support social workers with casework, acting as an allocated worker where appropriate.
Assist with assessments and practical interventions to ensure children’s safety and development.
Accurately gather, record, and analyse information using internal systems.
Liaise with professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated service delivery.
Contribute to team meetings and service reviews, ensuring high-quality outcomes for families.
What We’re Looking For:
A flexible, team-oriented individual with experience in a social care setting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
An understanding of safeguarding and child development.
Ability to manage a varied workload under supervision and maintain detailed records.
Additional Requirements:
A valid DBS check is essential.
