Summary

IDS Fire & Security Ltd in Bury are recruiting for a Trainee Estimator. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship over the duration of 18 months.

A Trainee Estimator is required to join our busy Bury office - estimating and where necessary helping to design Fire and Security Systems. The successful person will be based at our office in Bury and will be working on a range of different projects at any one time.
Full training will be provided to the successful applicant who will take telephone enquiries from existing and potential clients, discuss the project brief with the potential and existing clients, estimate project costs including materials, equipment, and labour, submit bids and tenders, and liaise with potential clients to secure the sale.

A Trainee Estimator :

• Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
• Telephone inquiries from existing and potential clients.
• Discussing the project brief with the potential and existing clients.
• Estimate project costs including materials, equipment, and labour.
• Submit bids and tenders, and liaise with potential clients to secure the sale.

• Looking for someone who has a passion for buildings and its occupants.
• GCSE 4 or above in maths and English.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong organization skills.

• Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm / 30 minute lunch / 37.5 hours per week
