We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Deputy Manager to lead our nursery team along side the management team and provide a nurturing environment for young children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in early childhood education, and a genuine love for working with children. As the Nursery Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of care and education, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Duties
Manage the daily operations of the nursery along side the management team, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn.
Foster positive relationships with children to encourage their social and emotional development.
Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt programmes accordingly.
Manage resources effectively to ensure the nursery runs smoothly.
Experience
Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
Experience in managing a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided within the nursery.
Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
All colleagues are required to complete regular training to ensure they understand and fulfil their responsibilities. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is mandatory for all positions, and this role will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duties.
Manage the nursery in the absence of the Manager, supported by other Senior Practitioners.
