As our Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our depot in South Kirkby. You'll ensure strict adherence to company procedures, maintaining efficiency, safety, and top-notch service delivery. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and professional service delivery to meet contractual obligations
• Manage depot operations to optimize costs while upholding service quality
• Maintain and improve service levels through effective team management
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly to prevent recurrence.
• Report operational issues and customer feedback to the Depot Manager
• Review and refine service delivery strategies for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to customers and management
• Plan and schedule workload and manpower to achieve targets cost-effectively

About you:
• Proven experience in operational management within logistics or waste management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Thorough understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively

Essentials:
• Proven experience in managing operations within a logistics, waste management, or similar fast-paced environment
• Demonstrable leadership and motivational skills, with experience leading diverse teams
• In-depth knowledge of logistics and waste management regulations, including health & safety and compliance requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
• A track record of delivering results under pressure, meeting KPIs and service standards consistently
