Job purpose To provide strategic leadership and direction across the organisations data, analytics, research, and evaluation functions. This role ensures the GPhC develops and sustains a strong internal capability to use evidence and insight to inform our decisions, shape strategic priorities, and evaluate the impact of our work. The postholder will lead a multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively with colleagues across the GPhC to promote a culture of evidence-based practice and continuous improvement. Main accountabilities Provide high-level strategic leadership to the organisation relating to data and research, ensuring alignment with the GPhC Strategic Plan and wider organisational objectives. Lead, manage and develop the data and research team, fostering collaboration, high performance and impact. Work closely with IT colleagues to ensure appropriate data architecture systems/management and interface working. Working with colleagues across the GPhC to ensure robust use of the organisations capability and capacity relating to data and research. Champion the use of data and evidence, supporting teams to integrate insight into their work. Ensure the timely provision of accurate data reporting for the purposes of assurance and to respond to requests in a timely way e.g. for FOIs/media requests, for Council, Executive colleagues, and other internal and external key stakeholders. Coordinate the delivery of robust performance dashboards, management information tools and thematic analysis to support organisational learning and strategic decision-making. Ensure that GPhC has a research programme which reflects the GPhC Strategic Plan so that research and evaluation methodology are used appropriately to gain a greater understanding of pharmacy education and training providers, our registrants, pharmacy premises and their patients' needs, and the wider healthcare context. Continue to build our evidence base, and maximise the value of the information we hold, to support our aim of promoting improvement in the quality of pharmacy care and services.
