Summary
1. Ensuring that the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy is implemented and maintained throughout the RFA Service. Chair the AFLOAT SUPPORT/RFA HQ HSE Quartey meeting providing minutes to Commodore Royal Fleet Auxiliary and RFA Vessels.
2. Producing, recording, analysing and presenting evidence-based data and guidance to Commodore Royal Fleet Auxiliary on matters relating to Health, Safety and Environment
3. Conducting annual comprehensive Health and Safety advisory visits on operational RFA Vessels to support Commodore Royal Fleet Auxiliary Health, Safety and Environment policies providing the CO and Accountable person with a written report on completion.
4. Is to investigate all incidents with a severity rating of Serious and above, including taking witness statements from any injured parties after the event to provide comprehensive recommendations to the Accountable Person to provide necessary changes and actions to prevent re-occurrence, including providing feedback/LfE to RFA vessels.
5. Attending and contributing to HSE meetings both within and outside the MOD, and on behalf of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary
6. Plan and run an annual mass casualty and response exercise involving key internal/external stake holders
7. Undertake appropriate line management responsibilities of NAVY AFSUP-CSO HSE SO3 post
