Summary
Within this role you will engage with customers, colleagues, and partners to ensure all income owed to Alliance is collected efficiently and effectively.
You will work to help vulnerable families and other disadvantaged groups who live within your patch. This will involve investigating Housing Benefit and Universal Credit claims, escalating rent arrears cases, taking appropriate action in mitigating the effects of debt and the impact of welfare reform through early intervention.
The role cuts across and impacts the organisation in terms of maximising and collecting the Association’s rental and service charge income.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is customer focussed and can use good written and verbal communication skills to provide exceptional service and tailor our service to individual needs.
It is important you can handle challenging/difficult conversations and be able to make sound judgement calls on complex situations.
It would be an advantage if you have demonstrable experience in a similar role and knowledge of Income Management and in debt recovery and/or income maximisation.
The successful candidate will also be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check. Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence with your access to your own car or alternative transport is required.
