As a Lead Content Designer, you won’t just design content. You’ll set the standards, mentor others, and lead the way in creating user-centred, accessible experiences that put people first.

We want someone who can:

  • Guide teams on best practice and strategy.
  • Coach user-centred design practitioners and build strong design communities.
  • Champion content design and user-centred design across the department.

As a Lead Content Designer, you will:

  • Lead on consistency, good practice and standards.
  • Build professional relationships to influence strategies and remove impediments to effective working.
  • Direct events and initiatives for the DWP or cross-government content design and user-centred design communities.
  • Line manage, coach, mentor and develop senior design practitioners.
  • Assess design resource needs and oversee recruitment and induction activities.
