Job title: Senior Electrician

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Senior Electrician on behalf of a global CDMO organization.

Role purpose:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the facility. The ideal candidate brings in-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior electricians while ensuring compliance with safety and electrical codes.

Key accountabilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, machinery, and control panels in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Perform diagnostics and repairs on motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), electrical and instrumentation panels and automation equipment.
Participate in the design and implementation of electrical and equipment upgrade projects.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, loop drawings, electrical schedules and schematics to identify and resolve electrical issues.
Conduct regular preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with Company and British standards Mentor and support junior electricians and maintenance staff.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support continuous improvement and efficiency goals.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist in root cause analysis.

Key requirements:
Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship or technical program.
Electrical City & Guilds or NVQ qualification
Additional certifications in Automation systems are an advantage
Proven experience with low-voltage systems, motor controls, and industrial automation.
Strong background working with electrical distribution systems, UPS Systems, VFDs and distributed control systems or PLCs
Deep understanding of electrical codes, industrial safety protocols, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Knowledge of electrical installation rules in ATEX environments
