Summary

Were looking for a dynamic Marketing and Communications Officer, based at our Stornoway campus, to bring our brand and message to life across the Outer Hebrides.

Our campuses and centres are located within historic towns and villages, set amongst the shorelines, mountains, and moors, with local staff working across our region to support our students and communities.

Position: We’re looking for a dynamic Marketing and Communications Officer, based at our Stornoway campus, to bring our brand and message to life across the Outer Hebrides.

Key responsibilities: The postholder will support the implementation of the organisation’s communication and marketing strategy, with a focus on:

+ Coordinating, delivering and evaluating marketing and communication plans and campaigns across multiple channels.

+ Creating engaging content for digital, print and social media.

+ Managing media relations and securing positive coverage.

+ Supporting local engagement activities.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills: The suitable candidate will hold up to HNC/D or equivalent professional experience in a relevant subject such as marketing, business, communications or public relations and have at least one year’s experience working in a busy marketing/communication environment.

Proficiency in spoken and written Gaelic, and knowledge of, or interest in, Gaelic language and culture, would be advantageous to your application.

Salary: £30,280 - £32,403 per annum, pro rata. Plus Islands Allowance.

Location: Stornoway

Working Hours: 35 hours, Permanent

Closing Date: 12pm, Monday 23rd June 2025
