Search are currently supporting a well-established, family-run business based in Liverpool who are now looking to appoint a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant as the business continues to grow. This is a standalone role, supported by the Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a small close-knit, supportive culture. They're looking for someone reliable and proactive who can slot into the team, work independently, and keep the day-to-day finance running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day bookkeeping duties, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control
- Raising and processing invoices daily - a key task for the business
- Using Sage 50 and/or Xero for all bookkeeping activity
- Helping ensure all payments, receipts, and reconciliations are accurately recorded
- Supporting month-end activity as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Prior experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounts assistant role
- Confident using Sage 50 and/or Xero (training can be provided if needed)
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing their own workload
- Friendly, adaptable, and down-to-earth - someone who can quietly fit into a sociable, easy-going team
- Comfortable working in a small business environment with a hands-on approach
The benefits on offer include:
- £26,000-£29,000 (depending on experience)
