Salary Range: MPS – UPS (£31,650 - £49,084 FTE) + TLR2b (£5645)

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Buile Hill is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Head of Geography to join our Humanities department from September 2025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Maintaining a focus on teaching and learning
• Exercising appropriate professional skills and judgement
• Accountability for leading, managing and developing a subject or curriculum area or student development in the Department
• Working with other relevant teachers in the department:
• Having impact on educational progress beyond personally assigned students in the Department
• Working with other relevant teachers and staff in the department:
• Leading, developing and enhancing the teaching practice of others
• Line management responsibility for a significant number of people:
