  • A Level 2 (or higher) Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, flexible, and respectful of residents’ dignity and choices.
  • A genuine passion for food and the wellbeing of older people.

Perks and Benefits:

  • Blue Light Card – discounts in shops, restaurants, and more
  • Company pension scheme to support your future
  • Access to internal training and career progression opportunities
  • Long service awards to celebrate your commitment
  • Staff recognition schemes – your work won’t go unnoticed
  • Employee benefits portal with discounts and wellbeing support

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Preparing and cooking well-balanced meals for older adults, including modified textures and allergen-friendly options.
  • Designing seasonal menus that reflect residents’ tastes and nutritional needs.
  • Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen budgets.
  • Collaborating closely with care staff to understand individual dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Supporting, training, and inspiring kitchen assistants where needed.
  • Creating a warm, mealtime experience that feels like home.
