Hours: 7am - 3pm

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Assistant to join our team in Enfield EN3. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cooking and as a kitchen assistant, ensuring that all food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, including basic cooking tasks, assembling sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Cooking: Perform cooking duties as required, ensuring that food is cooked to the correct temperature, taste, and presentation standards.
  • Kitchen Assistance: Support the kitchen team by assisting with food prep, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring all cooking utensils and equipment are properly sanitized and stored.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and service areas, including washing dishes, cleaning work surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards, to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service, assisting with various tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a food service environment, with a strong background in cooking and kitchen assistance.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
