  • Essential: experience working in a care home or healthcare environment
  • Solid understanding of dietary requirements, allergies, and modified diets
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 or above (or willingness to obtain)
  • A passion for food and a person-centred approach to care
  • Strong team ethos and attention to detail

What’s in It for You?

  • Blue Light Card – discounts on a wide range of retailers and services
  • Access to a benefits portal for wellbeing and shopping perks
  • Ongoing internal training and development opportunities
  • Career progression within a nurturing and forward-thinking organisation
  • Staff recognition and long service awards
  • Company pension scheme

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh, appetising meals that cater to a range of dietary needs and preferences
  • Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, compliance, and food safety standards
  • Adapt menus for allergies, soft food diets, and other individual care requirements
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, maintaining HACCP and health & safety practices
  • Contribute to stock management and ordering of supplies
  • Encourage a calm, collaborative kitchen culture that values teamwork and consistency
