Location: Bedfordshire
Contract: Sessional, Hourly Paid
Hours: 4 hours per week - Thursdays, 09.00 to 13.15
Contract Duration: September to December
Morgan Hunt is proud to be working with a college group in the Bedfordshire area , who are currently seeking a Lecturer in Psychology and Criminal Behaviours to join their care, childcare and Counselling department on a sessional basis.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching within Higher Education and to support students in developing their knowledge of psychology and criminal behaviour. You will:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across HE Social Studies courses, ensuring alignment with awarding body standards.
- Support student progress through regular reviews, tailored feedback, and academic guidance.
- Contribute to curriculum development, designing dynamic resources and integrating vocational elements.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold quality assurance standards in line with college policies.
- Engage in continuous professional development, and adhere to safeguarding, equality, and health and safety regulations.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Master's degree in Forensic Psychology or Psychology with a forensic focus.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE).
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Experience teaching and assessing in Psychology or related subjects, preferably within an FE or HE environment.
- Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A student-centred approach with a commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and positive learner outcomes.
