Crynodeb
The Governors of Mountain Ash Comprehensive School are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Literacy Support Assistant with a focus on supporting literacy across the school. Mountain Ash Comprehensive School is an improving school with an inclusive ethos and the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to our mission statement that “Every Child will Succeed”. Our ideal candidate will have high expectations of all pupils but will also be able to demonstrate interest and care in each and every individual child, seeking to help them to be the very best they can be.The successful candidate will be passionate about literacy and inspiring learners to develop a love of reading and to improve their reading skills. Working under the direction of our Director of Learning (English) and Whole School Literacy Lead, the ideal candidate will have experience of supporting literacy interventions, working with small groups of children or on a one to one basis, will be supporting the running of National Tests and help run the school library. Excellent organisational and communication skills are therefore very important for this role.The successful candidate will work 32.5 hours per week term time only. The salary will be paid as Grade 6 (77.16% pro rata) with actual salary as £20,045 per annumThe closing date for applications is Monday 23rd June at 9:00am
