Teaching Assistant Level 2 Hours of work: 30 hours a week, Term Time - Monday - Friday 8.25am - 3.00pm with a 35 minute unpaid breakThere is an expectation that you may need to attend training or staff meetings outside of your working hours, this will be paid as overtime.Salary Details FTE: LG Band 3, points 5-6 - £24,790 - £25,183 (FTE)Actual Salary: £16,902 - £17,558 yearly equivalent based on experienceWe are looking for an efficient and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and a dedicated professional to join our team at Moat Community College as a Teaching AssistantThe right candidate will haveNVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification e.g. Teaching Assistant awards or CACHE level 2 certificate in child care and education. GCSE A-C Math's/EnglishExperience working with SEND students with attachment difficulties and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs) would be highly desirable.Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staffA positive ‘can do ‘attitude to provide support and assistance to the teaching staff within the department. A proactive and flexible approach to supporting student's needsAn energetic practitioner with excellent communication and teamwork skillsA person who is calm, caring, approachable, but firmA hard-working individualA further/higher education subject specialism would be desirable but not essentialPlease refer to the attached Job description for further details.
