Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated MIS Co-ordinator to join the team at HMP Guys Marsh.
This is a part-time role working 18.5 hours per week.
Day to day duties
* Accurately input and analyse learner data on spreadsheets or databases including the setting up of simple spreadsheets or databases and the provision of accurate data reports.
* Check and ensure that all paperwork and learner records are accurate and audit compliant for processing.
* Typing memos, letters, reports and other communications including drafting replies to general enquiries and taking accurate minutes of meetings.
* Undertake general administrative duties and implement office procedures and processes including but not exclusively filing and organising learner and staff records and ensuring the confidentiality of these.
Required skills and qualifications
* An Administration qualification or experience.
* Recent experience demonstrating competence in IT usage, particularly Microsoft office.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
* Confident communication skills and able to express information and ideas in a manner that is appropriate, concise and accurate.

HMP Guys Marsh is an adult male, Category C, prison. The education department offers a diverse range of courses, including bricklaying, cleaning/waste management, construction, IT, multi-skills and PSD. HMP Guys Marsh runs accredited programmes on thinking skills, drug rehabilitation and anger management. A variety of work is available to residents, including laundry, kitchen, gym and industrial cleaning. Some of this work can result in recognised external qualifications.
