LOCATION : ST.CATHERINE'S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL, VALE ROAD, BARNET, EN5 2EDSt Catherine’s is a friendly, warm and welcoming two form entry Catholic primary school with nurseries for 2 to 4 year olds on site. The school takes pride in offering an inclusive, caring and stimulating learning environment for its pupils. We have wonderful children who are eager to learn, dedicated staff and strong partnerships with parents / carers. We believe in developing children with the skills to be great learners through a broad, balanced and creative curriculum.
We are looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team at St Catherine’s for 2 days per week on Thursdays and Fridays, from 08.30 to 15.45 daily (13.5 hours per week with half an hour unpaid break per day). This position is offered as one year contract initially and will commence in September 2025. Candidates should have experience of, or a passion for, working with SEND children and be willing to work across the whole primary age range.
You must have sound knowledge of how children learn and a number of strategies to encourage learning. You will need to be sensitive to the special needs of individual children and be able to work as part of a team. Previous experience of working with special needs children and running intervention groups would be useful. Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.

The salary for this role will be within the range stated and dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.
