What you'll be doing:

  • Provide support for the Veolia Site Manager in implementing transitional autoclave operations at AstraZeneca Discovery Centre
  • Operation and system management of dedicated autoclave machinery within the AstraZeneca Discovery Centre
  • Completing both regulatory and internal documentation of all associated autoclave related activities
  • Coordination of the delivery of healthcare waste to the autoclave facility
  • Liaison with laboratory facility suppliers to ensure safe and efficient presentation of healthcare waste for the autoclave process
  • Liaison with engineering facility suppliers to ensure the safe maintenance and operation of the autoclave equipment
  • Presentation of autoclaved waste streams for collection
  • Coordination of healthcare waste collections




What we're looking for:

  • Experience of pharmaceutical laboratory environments
  • Extensive experience of autoclave operational procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Healthcare Waste
  • Customer / client focus
  • Excellent record keeping skills
  • Good time management
  • It is desirable you have a knowledge of waste and recycling industry
