Pay: £455-£480 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant ready to make a lasting difference?
A friendly and supportive primary school in Kings Heath is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with ADHD. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for someone confident in delivering tailored in-class support and managing behaviour in a calm and nurturing way.

About the Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a KS2 pupil, adapting lesson content to suit their individual needs and helping them remain focused and engaged. You'll be responsible for providing regular movement breaks, offering reassurance, and communicating with teaching staff to ensure learning materials are accessible and appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with ADHD.
- Deliver and adapt lesson content in an engaging and accessible way.
- Support the pupil's emotional regulation by managing classroom breaks.
- Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the child.
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and prepare appropriate learning resources.
- Monitor and report progress to SENCOs and class teachers.

Candidate Requirements
- Experience supporting children in a school setting, ideally within KS2.
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ADHD.
- Confident delivering personalised support in-class and 1:1.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patient, understanding, and calm in approach.
