We are seeking a dedicated SEND Class Teacher to join our vibrant team at an "outstanding" SEND provision in Ackworth, West Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing a high level of specialised education for young people aged 11-19 years who have severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have additional complex needs including ASDs, sensory impairment, challenging behaviour and physical difficulties.

We aim for all our students to develop a 'voice', to be as independent, social, and healthy as possible, enabling them to become citizens who engage positively with society while leading happy and fulfilled lives.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences tailored to special educational needs.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives specific to SEND.
- Assess and record each student's progress, adapting the curriculum to meet individual needs and abilities.
- Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as learning support assistants and therapists, to ensure that all students' learning and health needs are met.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
- Engage with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and to support them in fostering their children's learning and development at home.
