Location: Coventry 2 Days per week on Site
Contract: Interim 6 Months
Hays are seeking a qualified and experienced Surveying Manager (MRICS) to lead a team of surveyors working on rent renewals for a local council. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in landlord and tenant matters, particularly within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of surveyors handling rent renewals and property transactions.
- Produce detailed reports on property transactions and valuations.
- Review and challenge team outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide expert guidance on landlord and tenant issues, particularly within local authority housing.
- Apply knowledge of Section 106 agreements in housing contexts.
- Ensure best practices from private practice property services are integrated into council operations.
✅ Requirements:
- MRICS qualified (essential).
- Proven management experience in a surveying environment.
- Strong understanding of landlord and tenant law, especially in the public sector.
- Experience with Section 106 housing agreements.
- Background in both local authority and private practice property services.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
