The HICA Group have a fantastic opportunity available for a Support Worker to join our expanding team of Care professionals at our learning disability home in Hull, Isaac Robinson Court.

Pay & Hours:

£12.22 per hour
36 hours per week
Day shift (12 hrs)
Working on a rota covering 7 days per week.

The Role:

Assisting with a variety of care needs and enable our service users to live fulfilling lives, including:

Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
Assist with preparing meals and drinks to better our residents' overall nutrition.
Participate in and support activities for our residents
Assist with mobility and transferring safely e.g. from bed to chair
Observe and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being reporting any changes.
We provide full training so don’t worry If you are new to the care sector, if you have the right qualities to care we would love to hear from you.
Maintain and develop professional relationships with families
Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
Reporting any safeguarding concerns
Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life.

About us:

Isaac Robinson Court, supports up to 40 people aged 18 and over with a learning disability and associated care and support needs in a combination of 5 bungalows and 2 flats. Support Staff provide personalised support to enable them to fulfill their potential, enhance their lifestyles and meet their needs. People who live at Isaac Robinson Court are encouraged and aided to plan their own support and care plans and make changes to areas of their life and achieve their personal goals.

As a HICA Group Support Worker, you can make a real difference to people’s lives, by caring for their complex needs and enabling them to live the life they choose. You’ll join a supportive team, that’ll provide all the training and development you need to support your client, helping you get the most out of this rewarding and fulfilling role.

The HICA Group are a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to older people and people with learning difficulties both within residential and nursing homes and within the community.

Please note that successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
