Job Title: Youth Support Worker
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Grantham
Salary: £12.21 to £13.68 per hour
About the Role:
We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Youth Support Workers to join our team, providing care and support to children and young people aged 6 to 18 years old within a residential setting. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work in a rewarding and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), autism, learning disabilities, and trauma-based needs
• Provide consistent, nurturing care and emotional support tailored to individual needs
• Assist with daily routines, education, and recreational activities
• Implement behaviour management plans, trauma-informed approaches, and individual care plans effectively
• Maintain clear, accurate records and contribute to care reviews and reports
Requirements:
• Minimum 6 months recent experience working in an EBD setting
• Experience working with challenging behaviour, autism, learning disabilities, and young people with trauma-based needs
• Understanding of trauma-informed care approaches
• Full UK driving licence (manual vehicle)
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare preferred (or willingness to work towards this qualification)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people and colleagues
