Crynodeb
Lead and monitor the practice and effectiveness of nursing actions, ensuring these are carried out with full regard for the safety of the patient and staff involved. In conjunction with the Unit Manager, establish direction and purpose, inspire, motivate and empower ward/department team around the common goals to produce measurable improvements in clinical practice, quality and services. Ensure that training and education opportunities are available to staff. Ensure personnel and team development to maximize performance and succession planning. To participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process, taking the lead in the absence of the Unit manager. The post holder will adhere to NMC Code of Conduct (2015, Updated 2018) at all times and ensure ward compliance with and application of hospital policies and procedures and professional guidelines.
