A) Key Result Areas1. To support the Thinking Allowed Service.2. To deliver high quality clinical interventions under clinical supervision.3. To offer high quality assessments and individual therapy sessions under clinical supervision. To help develop models of psychological thinking with the children, young people and their parents/carers.4. To allocate time to direct clinical work, developing resources, audit and evaluation tasks, and revision of treatment manuals under the direction of the Thinking Allowed Clinical TeamManager and Clinical Psychologist.5. To gather and organise information about relevant psychological interventions and clinical tools for use by other staff and carers.6. To work alongside other team members and ensure close liaison and communication within teams.7. To work independently on a day-to-day basis. Goals to be agreed and reviewed in clinical / management supervision.8. To maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times when working with distressed people.9. To maintain clinical records and statistics as appropriate.B) Teaching and Training:1. To undertake such training as might be required to maintain an appropriate level of expertise.2. To deliver teaching and training for other members of the multidisciplinary team and staff in other agencies, and develop training resources in collaboration with qualified clinicians/practitioners.C) Research and Audit1. To assist with the audit and evaluation of the service including as required in collaboration with qualified clinicians/practitioners and other members of the multidisciplinary team.2. To participate in audit and personal review activity as required.3. To compile and return statistics and activity levels as required.D) Professional1. To understand and practice in line with the BPS (2009) Code of Ethics and Conduct and the DCP (2008) Professional Practice Guidelines on the role.2. To participate in the Thinking Allowed business and professional meetings as appropriate.3. To be aware of and comply with all policies, procedures and directions of the Department Service and Trust.4. To seek regular support and clinical supervision within Thinking Allowed, and engage with the organisations appraisal process.5. To participate in individual, group and peer supervision.6. To participate in meetings with team members, multi-agency and MDTs as appropriate.E) Clinical Governance1. To support Thinking Allowed in the development and implementation of effective Clinical Governance across the Service.2. To support and participate in multidisciplinary clinical audit in the service.3. To promote the use of effective interventions in the service.4. To participate in Clinical Governance processes in the Service and in the profession.F) General1. To assist in the production of materials and resources used with service users and including revision of treatment manuals.G) IT Skills1. To help in the collection of data and the production minutes, reports etc. as required by clinicians in Thinking Allowed.
