The Inclusion Service are looking for an Education Officer to join the team. If you are passionate about Inclusion and access to education we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
The Inclusion Service works with children, young people and their families to access education and support them to achieve the best outcomes possible. This role within the Service is aimed at ensuring children with medical needs are able to access education whilst they are too unwell to attend school. The role will also involve some work with Pupils Missing Education, Elective Home Education and post 16 young people.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

About You
To apply for this post, you must:
- Have an understanding of the statutory legislation that governs education, particularly around children missing education, behaviour, attendance, children with health needs, SEND.
- Significant experience of working with children, young people and families in either case work or education settings including completing assessments.
- The ability to work independently, as part of a team and in collaboration with partners and other professionals.
- Experience of engaging with young people and their families who are vulnerable or from a hard to reach group and supporting them to achieve Educational related outcomes
- Good organisational, planning skills and working to deadlines
- Excellent and engaging communication skills; written, verbal and presentation with varying audiences.
- Possession of a valid driving licence, access to a vehicle, and relevant insurances. However, a reasonable adjustment will be considered for an applicant with a disability.
