Job Overview

-To undertake and fulfil duties required in running a day to day operation associated with a National Media Broadcast facility. Delivery of an efficient and effective command and control function and incident management and escalation on an international basis.

-The utilisation of site staff in order to fulfil the contractual operational commitment to the customer.

-Manage the running of the site, liaising with client's personnel and own staff to achieve and deliver a proactive and diligent service. Able to react and deal with any incident on site(s).

Main Duties

-

§ Take responsibility for your team, whilst also liaising with the site manager.

§ The production of clear and concise daily/monthly reports for submission to the site management.

§ Ensuring that all reportable incidents are recorded, clearly and concisely and reported in a timely manner and that relevant systems such as Merlin are updated accordingly

§ Establish and maintain a regular communication with the site team in all associated tasks.

§ To act as the initial Incident Control Officer and complete required duties throughout any incident or occurrence, advising and assisting where necessary. Including:

§ - Fire alarms

§ - Lenel / alarm response

§ - CCTV alarms/PID's

§ - Escalation of incidents according to laid down procedures by Group Security

§ To use and understand control room systems in line with client requirements as well as complying with current legislation (DPA etc).

§ Implement and control Sky Security Protocols within Sky locations.

§ Ensure electronic access control systems are periodically checked, maintained and all alarm occurrences are prioritised and managed.

§ Assist the site management in ensuring post instructions are relevant and up to date

§ To ensure that all documentation is maintained and audited according to quality requirements

§ Be the initial management response to any HR issues or staff performance matters.

§ Maintain a working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation pertinent to this role. To carry out risk assessments as required.

§ Ensure that all daily and weekly reports are accurate and submitted on time

§ To identify areas of improvement and carry out any reasonable action to increase the operational performance of all staff

§ Ensure all accredited paperwork is in date and is compliant with the relevant BSIA standard

§ Ensure that the companies policy on Working Time Regulations 1998 is adhered to at all times

· Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;

· Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;

· Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;

· Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;

· Follow the relevant templates for escalation to Sky for incident response.
