This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy visitor centre at one of Norfolk's most amazing nature reserves. This is a permanent, part-time (20 hours per week) position for a Centre Assistant at RSPB Titchwell Marsh.You will mainly be based in our new café, but may also be required to work in our shop, with opportunities for additional hours. The main focus of the role is to serve customers food and drink and ensure they have the best experience possible. You will help maintain the cafe appearance and stock levels, process deliveries, operate the till, and respond to visitor enquiries in a friendly and professional manner. This is a permanent, part-time, flexible hours role for 20 hours per week. Usual working days will be Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 11.15 - 16.30.In your application, please provide a CV AND a Cover Letter which provides examples of where you have experience in the following areas:Customer service: Taking orders, providing recommendations, and handling customer complaints Food and drink preparation in a busy commercial kitchen: Making coffee, tea, and other hot and cold drinks, as well as hot and cold pastries, sandwiches, and other snacksStock management: Checking stock levels, replenishing items, and rotating stockCleaning: Cleaning the cafe, including floors, equipment, and tablesCash handling: Operating the till, taking payments, and counting the cash takenHealth and safety: Following hygiene and health and safety regulations, and ensuring food is stored and cooked safelyWork well in a teamAbility to follow instructions Additional Information:This is a permanent, part-time, flexible hours role for 20 hours per week. Usual working days will be Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 11.15 - 16.30.
