We’re on the lookout for a skilled HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic to join a leading main dealer team in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified heavy vehicle technician to join a well-established company offering long-term development and great earning potential.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter:
Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs in line with manufacturer guidelines
Use diagnostic equipment and technical expertise to fault-find and resolve mechanical issues
Complete repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Ensure warranty procedures are followed and all work is accurately documented
Liaise with the parts department to ensure correct parts are ordered and fitted
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic:
Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
Experience working in a dealership or commercial vehicle workshop preferred
Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Full UK Class 1 or 2 HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
Ability to work independently or within a team environment
