Summary
This role is key to driving digital income growth. Working closely with the Head of Digital Engagement and the Head of Individual Giving, the successful candidate will create, develop and implement a robust and diverse digital strategy for income generation, from broad supporter recruitment, to specific appeal communications, to ongoing donor stewardship. You’ll support our campaigning actions, working with senior stakeholders to craft long-term marketing strategies that integrate with the fundraising strategy to build strong, lasting relationships with new and existing supporters.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on our email marketing strategy to deliver best-in-class supporter stewardship.
Oversee website and blog digital content strategy and planning.
Plan and deliver the digital strategy for four offline fundraising appeals a year to meet ambitious targets.
Work with colleagues to develop short-term marketing strategies and relevant content to support individual fundraising products or fundraising activities when appropriate.
Lead on split testing across landing pages and email to optimise activity and increase ROI.
Act as a digital expert across the organisation, providing visibility and guidance to colleagues interested in digital best practice.
Key skills and experience
3+ years in a similar digital role(s).
Demonstrable experience setting up and managing successful digital income generation campaigns
Experience developing and managing a supporter engagement strategy including growth of supporters, audience analysis, segmentation and content development.
Experience managing website content, information architecture and user experience
Experience with budget responsibility
Experience of Engaging Networks or similar engagement platforms.
Excellent written English: ability to write and edit sharp, accessible and concise copy for advertising, blogs, web, emails, social and more
Knowledge of GDPR and its application in digital marketing.
Building relationships and assisting colleagues. Friendly and approachable.
Clearly and helpfully guiding and training non-technical staff.
