Summary
A Vacancy at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will assume a direct clinical role within the department, sharing all facilities equally with the existing consultants. This is a full-time permanent post (11 PAs) General Ophthalmologist with special interest in Medical Glaucoma. The appointee will be joining 32 Consultant Ophthalmologist posts already established. The successful candidate will work 11 PA’s a week, which will include an 8 DCC and 2 SPA split (Flexible working may be considered) with additional activities to be discussed. It is expected that the successful applicant will play an active role in the consultant on call rota.
The Consultant will, in conjunction with colleagues:
i. Provide theatre cover as below.
ii. Provide an Ophthalmic service in accordance with the agreed timetable and subsequent job plan.
iii. Provide trustwide 1 in 10 on call cover
iv. Supervise trainee staff within the Trust.
