Required: September 2025Hours: 36.25hrs per week. 8.15am – 4.00pm (excl 30 mins unpaid break). Monday to Friday. Term Time only plus inset days and 1 week equivalent of holiday work
Salary: NJC Point 26 £31084 actual (FTE = £36124)
Jon Purpose
The postholder will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating the school’s safeguarding and early help strategies. This includes overseeing the safeguarding and wellbeing teams as well as working alongside the attendance, behaviour, and SEND teams to ensure a cohesive and proactive approach to student welfare.
The role involves direct line management of key staff and oversight of vulnerable children and families. The postholder will ensure quality assurance of safeguarding systems like CPOMS, support staff training and inductions, and act as the Young Carers Lead. They will also provide strategic input through regular safeguarding meetings and audits, ensuring that the school maintains an exemplary standard of care and compliance in safeguarding practices.
