Salary: £19,155 to £22,988 per annum

£31,925 – £38,314 full time equivalent

Location: Selby Campus

We are looking for an innovative and experienced Lecturer in Art and Graphic Communication to join our successful Art Design and Media team. With a strong focus on high quality teaching and learning, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established, talented, and supportive team. You will have the opportunity to engage with diverse students across Further and Higher Education courses and contribute to the development and organisation of the curriculum as a member of the Creative Industries team.

As a Lecturer in Art and Graphic Communication, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of students, by providing them with the skills, knowledge and training required to enable them to achieve their goals; while contributing to the provision of an excellent student experience.

We are looking for someone who has up-to-date industry knowledge, a passion for the Creative Industries and education and is confident in both practical and theoretical Art and Graphic Communication delivery. You will also be able to coordinate/ produce live briefs and exhibitions. This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue to grow our offer and develop our courses in the Creative Industries.

We are looking for an individual who thrives in a collaborative setting. You will work closely with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience, utilising innovative teaching methods and keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends. Your passion for technology, strong communication skills, and commitment to student success will be essential in this role.

As a Lecturer in Art and Graphic Communication, you should:


Degree in Art and design (or other related discipline)
GCSE A* - C in Maths and English qualifications or equivalent
Relevant software skills including: Illustrator, After Affects, InDesign
Experience of working in the Graphic Communication industry
Experience of working with 16-18 year olds, ideally in a teaching capacity
Experience of teaching on a range of Art and Design courses and levels both practical and theoretical
