We pride ourselves on leading for new, innovative and sustainable products and solutions, both for today and for a new era of building.To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a JDE Applications Analyst - Projects (6-month FTC) to come and join our team at Ibstock Head office, LE67 6HSJob purposeThe business applications analyst is responsible for delivering applications projects from capturing requirements, through developing a solution and to rolling outThis role encompasses the configuration, customization (via 3rd party) and upgrade of the JDE system and requires good specialist knowledge of one or more modulesThe incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, IT, operations and other departments to drive system enhancements, ensure data accuracy and lead innovation in our use of the JDE system. Where necessary it is expected that this person will be able to help the apps team with support, upgrades and housekeepingKey AccountabilitiesCapture business requirements and be able to playback in the form of a solution design to obtain sponsorship and buy-in for projectsBe able to configure one or more JDE modules to expert levelConfident to design and deliver solutions across multiple JDE modules seeking input and advice from colleagues or 3rd parties where necessaryBring rigour to both the SIT and UAT testing rounds, ensuring the quality and reliability of the JDE systemExperienced in creating functional specification documents which contain sufficient detail to enable configuration or development of solutions without ambiguityEmpower end-users to take ownership of processes through trainingTake pride in the delivery of projects and related documentation within scope, time and budgetary constraints.Feedback status including highlighting of risks or issues in a timely manner to allow for change when neededContribute to in-house knowledge sharing and cross-functional trainingDevise innovative solutions that avoid system modification where possible and are easy to use for our colleague communityKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssential:In-depth knowledge of at least one JDE module is essential with lighter knowledge of interoperability, EDI or other modules of JDE advantageousGreat interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and writtenEfficient and accurate data management with exceptional attention to detailComfortable working with all levels of business stakeholders to ensure expectations are managed realistically and sensitivelySelf-motivation and ability to work at pace and to prioritise a varied workloadConfidence to highlight and raise both problems and solutions for explorationSense of urgency and pride in ownership, coupled with a ‘can do’ attitudePassionate, flexible and committed approach to projects (completer finisher)Ability to plan, minute and and follow up on meetings using a risk, issue, actions and decisions logDesirable:Understanding of both waterfall and agile project management principlesExperience of working on legacy and / or highly modified JDE environmentsKnowledge of output generators for JDE like BI Publisher or TransformThink you can make a difference?
