Early Years Officer

Various positions – CS6631

An opportunity has arisen for a number of temporary Early Years Officer positions across Falkirk Council to cover maternity leave.

You will have skills, knowledge and experience of all current Early Learning and Childcare provision and procedures and have a passion for promoting and delivering high quality play and learning both indoors and outdoors.

You will work as an effective team member and establish positive relationships with children and families. You will have knowledge and experience of current early learning and childcare provision and procedures.

With recent, relevant experience of working with children, you will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent. You must be registered with or currently seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.

The post is full time (37 hours), term time and is temporary within Falkirk Council Education Services. Please note the salary in the advert will be adjusted accordingly for term time contract.

The posts will commence on 11th August 2025 and will be for a variety of timescales to cover maternity leave. If you are successful in gaining an interview you will be notified of where these positions are located and for what the duration of the contract would be.
