Summary


We are looking for a dynamic and creative Child Psychotherapist with substantial evidence of competence and experience working with infants and young children and their parents/carers and families, to offer a range of evidence based interventions to the ELFT CAMH early years’ service offer as part of the multi-agency Flying Start and Family Hub initiative.



Child psychotherapy is well-recognised in 0-5 team and in the wider CAMHS service. The post-holder will become a member of the South Beds CAPTS discipline group which includes Senior Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists providing service supervision and clinical supervision; Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Trainees; and Assistant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists (ACAPT).

This is a community-based post and will work within LutonPrimary Care Access Service(PCAS).The post holder will be in a unique position to be part of this exciting new development within our innovative and forward-thinking CAMHS and Luton multi-agency Family Hub initiative, led by Public Health, with ELFT CAMHS as a core partner.

The post holder will work within the comprehensive stepped care model of CAMH Service delivered by ELFT CAMHS in the locality.CAMH CAS provides a resilience and community based early intervention with the 0-5s team and multi-agency colleagues within universal, targeted and specialist services.



This post is designed specifically to support the development of the Luton CAMHS 0-5 Team community pathway, contributing to the day-to-day operational management of the CAMHS 0-5 Team service, offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessments and treatments, including group-work, work discussion groups, reflective practice groups, specialist mental health consultation, advice and training.
