  • Ensure all work complies with current industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Complete all necessary certifications, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Mentor and support less experienced engineers on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with surveyors, designers, and operational teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure customer handovers are clear and technically sound.
  • Work flexibly across the region, with the option to adopt a 4-day working week on a rotating schedule.

Stakeholder Engagement

Internal:

  • Collaborate with quality, operations, and delivery teams to ensure installations meet technical and customer service standards.
  • Support the integration of new technologies such as hybrid systems and high-temperature heat pumps.
  • Contribute to the development of safe working methods and internal procedures.

External:

  • Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and clear understanding of installed systems.
  • Liaise with Distribution Network Operators and certification bodies (e.g., NAPIT) to ensure compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, Heating, and Ventilation.
  • DASHP (Domestic Air Source Heat Pump) qualification.
  • Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems (UHW10).
  • Energy Efficiency and Water Regulations (WREG) certifications.
  • Valid Gas Safe certification (CMA or CCN1) and MET authorisation.
  • MOCOPA certification and EUSR card with smart metering authorisations.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in heating system installations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Full UK/EU driving licence (max 6 points).

Desirable:

  • Experience with hybrid heating systems and high-temperature heat pumps.
  • Familiarity with digital tools for scheduling and reporting.
