We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team and help make a positive difference in the lives of our service users.
Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker with Havesters Care Ltd, your role will be to support our service users in leading as independent a lifestyle as possible by delivering care that is tailored to their individual needs and preferences in their own home. You will be responsible for the following areas:
Personal Care Support:
You will assist with a range of personal care needs, including:
Washing, bathing, and showering
Oral hygiene and shaving
Hair and nail care
Toileting and continence support
Skin integrity (e.g. pressure sore prevention)
Moving and handling using appropriate equipment
Health Care Duties:
Supporting with prescribed medication and medication assessments
Liaising with healthcare professionals as required
Dietary Care:
Preparing meals and snacks according to individual preferences and dietary needs
Encouraging fluid intake
Supporting with feeding where necessary
Domestic / Household Tasks:
Light housework, including dusting, washing up, vacuuming, bed making, and laundry
Assisting with rubbish disposal and maintaining a safe home environment
Personal Support Services:
Assisting with shopping and personal finances
Supporting with life planning (e.g. birthdays, anniversaries)
Promoting democratic rights and social engagement
Social Support:
Providing companionship and emotional support
Encouraging engagement in activities that stimulate mental and emotional well-being
Participating in sit-in support when required
Additional Responsibilities:
Adhering to all policies and procedures set by Havesters Care Ltd
Participating in induction and regular in-service training sessions
Maintaining accurate records including care notes, diary entries, timesheets, and mileage logs
Attending staff meetings, team briefings, and quality review sessions as required
Reporting concerns about service users' care promptly to supervisors or managers
Contributing to the review and update of service users’ care plans
