Our aims are to ensure that individuals do not suffer through a lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or though an inability to express their needs effectively. We aim equally to exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationally.
We have a vacancy for a full time position for a Triage Adviser (Job Share will be considered). Triage is essential to the smooth and efficient running of Dumfries and Galloway Citizen Advice Service and it is the first point of contact for most people accessing our services. The Triage Adviser will quickly resolve enquiries using holistic and diagnostic interviewing skills. The Triage Adviser will provide information and advice on a variety of subjects, also signposting and empowering clients to use the organisation self-help tools. The Triage Adviser will refer on any complex cases or those requiring a specialist appointment.

SCQF level 5 Salary £23,692 per annum
35 hours per week (Job Share will be considered)
Base: Any of our offices (Dumfries, Stranraer or Annan) with an option for hybrid working
Duration: Funded until 31st March 2027
