Schedule - Monday to Friday between 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm (Rotating weekly)

Our client is a market-leading and international supplier of aluminium food packaging, renowned for innovation, quality and service. As they continue with their ambitious growth plans, they are seeking like-minded individuals to support and enhance their team on an exciting journey, and they are recruiting a Tool Setter.

Role

Working as part of the Tool Setting Team, you will be responsible for supporting the required Tool Changes to ensure they are completed in accordance with Production Requirements and plans.

The Tool Setter role is a key member of the Toolroom and Toolsetting team and performs a critical function within the business, supporting our client's Production and Operations Team.

Responsibilities:

- Install tools into machine presses.

- Work from tool change schedules and production plans, ensuring all allocated tool changes are completed.

- Assess, diagnose and address tooling, press and stacker issues.

- Be a proactive member of the Toolsetting and Toolroom teams, highlighting and documenting any improvement or remedial requests via the necessary document completion.

- Undertake general fault finding and make quality improvements in a production environment.

- Ensure housekeeping within work area is maintained at the highest-level ensuring adherence to BRC accreditation and standards at all times.

- Ensure and maintain a safe working environment by adherence to HSE requirements.

- Complete Hazard Tags where required.

- Support continuous improvement activities and initiatives.

- To carry out or assist with any duties as deemed necessary in connection with the business.

Knowledge:

- Understanding of H&S requirements and key principles.

- Good understanding of manufacturing principles.

- Background in a Mechanical Engineering environment.

- Full Driving Licence.

- Good communication skills.

- Manufacturing environment background.

- Able to work as part of a team.

- Flexible approach in order to meet business and departmental requirements.

- Excellent time management skills.

- Able to work on own initiative and manage own priorities and time constraints.
