Crynodeb
As a Nursery Apprentice you will be expected to provide the highest level of care and education for children attending the nursery. Whilst you are gaining hands on experience in a high quality childcare setting you will be working towards recognised childcare qualifications.
As an apprentice your roles and responsibilities will include:
To work as part of a team
To ensure safeguarding
To follow all policies and procedures
To set up and maintain learning environment
To assist in Child development
Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Mosscroft Childcare will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
If successful, you will complete a level 2 early years practitioner apprentice standard, which includes;
•Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
•Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
•Functional skills in Maths and English if required
This will be delivered through Mosscroft Childcares dedicated training provider, Realise.
Qualifications required
GCSE grades 4 and below in both Maths and English is desirable but not essential.

Able to use initiative
Have a genuine desire to work with children
To have strong communication
Prospects
To progress to a a higher Early Years Qualification
Qualification / Standard : ST0135 Early years educator
Duration 12 months
