Job Title: Plant & Equipment Coordinator (Temp to Perm)
Location: Head Office, Redditch (with monthly site visits across the Midlands)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Plant & Equipment Coordinator to join our clients team. Based in their Head Office in Redditch, you will play a key role in managing the hire, movement, servicing, and repair of plant, tools, and vehicles across various construction sites throughout the Midlands. This is a Temp-to-Perm position with the opportunity to grow within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage on-hire and off-hire processes for large/small plant and small tools
• Coordinate the transfer of equipment between sites
• Raise purchase orders for new hires
• Arrange transport for the movement of plant and equipment
• Maintain the Live Hire Excel Matrix for all plant and equipment
• Reconcile weekly plant returns from sites against the Matrix
• Check supplier hire reports weekly for discrepancies
• Organise servicing and repairs for plant, equipment, and company vehicles
• Schedule MOTs and inspections for vehicles
• Keep the Transport Matrix accurate and up to date
• Arrange statutory 6-month/12-month inspections of lifting equipment
• Audit sites monthly for plant and lifting equipment compliance
• Review and verify monthly hire invoices
• Track and monitor costs associated with hires, damage, and repairs
• Source quotes and pricing for new plant and equipment as needed
Candidate Requirements:
• Previous experience or understanding of the construction industry (preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Full clean UK driving licence (essential)
• Excellent communication and telephone manner
• Ability to handle pressure and multitask when needed
