Are you an experienced, proactive Housekeeper looking for a long-term part-time position in a warm, informal family home? A lovely household of four in the peaceful village of Duncote (near Towcester, Northamptonshire) is seeking a reliable, friendly professional to join their team.
About the Role
This live-out position involves traditional housekeeping and light family cooking. You’ll begin each day by preparing breakfast at 7:00 a.m., followed by kitchen clean-up and housekeeping duties such as general cleaning, laundry, ironing, and upkeep. You’ll return in the early evening (typically 5:00–7:00 p.m.) to prepare a fresh, home-cooked dinner and tidy the kitchen.
The household includes two adults and two young children (aged 2 and 4), though no childcare is required. Their home is a well-kept, two-storey property with four bedrooms, a playroom, and four bathrooms.
Key Responsibilities
Morning breakfast prep and kitchen tidy
General household cleaning, laundry, ironing
Evening meal preparation (English, Italian, Indian cuisine)
Cooking simple meals for young children
Managing cleaning supplies and occasional grocery shopping
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
Ideal Candidate
Minimum 3 years’ housekeeping experience in a private household
Confident cook, happy to prepare family-style meals
Fluent English speaker
Full UK driving licence
Up-to-date DBS check
Legal right to work in the UK
Organised, discreet, and self-motivated

Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: ~6 hours/day (split shift)
Start: ASAP
Salary: £23–£27/hr gross (based on experience)
