HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is advertised by Smart Solutions on behalf of our client who is looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver for £17.45 per hour for our client who is based in the Wirral (Bromborough) area.
The HGV Class 2 Driver primary role is to collect muni waste from local households with a crew of two loaders, by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area. Applicants must be physically fit and willing to help loaders, as well as load themselves when not needed as a driver.
Shifts start at 6:15am. Shifts are 8 hours pay, but job and knock. Monday to Friday work, plus some weekend work can be available. Overtime is paid at 150%.
The HGV Class 2 Driver will ideally have waste industry experience, but not essential as full training will be provided. This is ideal for new pass HGV drivers who want to gain experience driving Class 2’s.
HGV Class 2 Driver Requirements include, but not limited to the following:
HGV Class 2 licence, Class CE licence beneficial.
CPC licence.
Digi Tacho.
No more than 6 points on licence.
Paperwork is correctly completed for loads collected and delivered.
Report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions.
Report access problems and record contaminated loads.
Complete an accurate daily time sheet for all jobs completed.
Assist loaders with loading of waste.
Work as a loader when not needed to drive.
